We have a limited supply of boards for students to borrow for their lesson. We will do our best to provide the appropriate board for you to use based on your height, weight, and skill level. If you have your own board, even better! Bring it along for your session with an instructor.

A wetsuit is strongly encouraged for most months of the year in Newport Beach. This is certainly not required, but helpful to keep you comfortable.

Lessons are typically taught a block south (B Street) of the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, CA. However, conditions vary and beach location will be adjusted depending on the time of year, swell, sand configuration, and your specific skill level. The meeting spot will be coordinated ahead of time to ensure the highest quality of waves to learn on.

We recommend bringing a towel, sunscreen, and water to stay hydrated. Come stoked to learn an amazing sport in paradise and your instructor will take care of the rest!
